Safety Tips (Online & IRL)
Because Opoly is designed to help you meet people in the real world, your safety is our ultimate priority. Please follow these guidelines:
Online Safety:
- Protect Your Info: Never share your home address, financial information, or exact daily routines in public group chats.
- Stay on the App: Keep initial conversations within Opoly’s chat system before giving out your personal phone number.
- Report & Block: Trust your instincts. If someone makes you uncomfortable, block them immediately and report them to our moderation team.
In Real Life (IRL) Safety:
- Meet in Public: Always meet new people or attend new events in populated, public places.
- Tell a Friend: Before going to an Opoly event, tell a trusted friend or family member where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to return.
- Control Your Transport: Have your own ride to and from the event. Do not rely on someone you just met for transportation.
- Watch Your Drinks: If you are at a venue, keep an eye on your beverage at all times.
- Leave if Uncomfortable: You owe no one your time. If the vibe is off, leave immediately.
